Disabled Baby Denied Transplant

Expect to see a lot more of these cases as the U.S. organ allocation system starts weighing efficiency a but heavier than equity.  Earlier this year, I defended some disability discrimination in organ allocation.  In contrast, this case may get closer to rejecting the candidate because of his quality of life rather than because of his expected length of life.  In other words, it is unclear if the disability changes the purely medical benefit of the transplant or just the "social" benefit.
